Hi, I’m Kim Thomas, the owner and founder of Cat’s Meow Resort.
Cats have long been an underserved market. After founding West Hartford Pet Sitters in 2006—one of the first and eventually the largest pet-sitting services in Connecticut—I realized there was a need for more specialized feline care. This led to The Mobile Pet Spa, where I discovered just how much cats benefit from expert grooming.
Determined to provide the best care possible, I became a Certified Feline Master Groomer, learning the most effective techniques and building a reputation for helping cats feel safe, comfortable, and look their best.
But something was missing. I knew there were cats who needed more than a short home visit. Many of my clients asked if there was a place where their cats could receive more personalized attention, comfort and care.
That’s why I created Cat’s Meow Resort—a luxury cat boarding and grooming retreat in beautiful Avon, CT. Here, cats can relax, be pampered, and enjoy the comforts they deserve—without the fear and chaos of barking dogs.
My career has taken me from Paris to New York, D.C., and Chicago, but my greatest joy was returning to Connecticut to marry my husband and raise our two beloved fur children, Simba and Sampson. My love for felines inspired me to blend my professional expertise with my passion, creating something truly extraordinary for cat lovers like you.
